Topic: Qualitative Data Analysis
Dear All,
According to the needs of participants in the April session, we will
work on qualitative data analysis during the next MINT seminar on 7-8
May. We will examine how to organise, transcribe, develop coding and
report of qualitative data. We will look at how data could be turned
into codes and overview various strategies through hand and
computer-based methods. We will also discuss collection of qualitative
data as some of you will only start their data gathering, but I
encourage everyone to bring your own data and share your experiences
of data collection. Since qualitative analysis is a very extensive
topic we will mainly focus on interpreting interview data, but we will
also discuss the evaluation of observation protocols and video data.
Please read the attached three papers and we will talk about the their
main ideas during the session.
As usual, please prepare a short presentation about the progress of
your work to get feedback from participants for everyone’s benefit.
I look forward to meeting you in Linz next week.
Kind regards,
Zsolt
